The Norwich branch staff & youth mascot Kirby Kangaroo hosted a Family Health & Safety Day on Saturday, October 18, 2008.

The event included the following activities, free to all children in attendance:

• Bicycle safety training by Norwich City Police & a FREE bicycle helmet (compliments of Visions)!
• Fingerprinting & photo IDs for children by Chenango County Sheriff’s Dept.
• Fire truck tours and safety training by Norwich Fire Department
• Emergency planning by Red Cross of Norwich
• Child Wellness/Safety Education by Catholic Charities of Norwich

Free complimentary screenings for the adults included blood pressure & diabetes screenings and body mass index testing available onsite by Chenango Memorial Hospital.

Visions Credit Union also hosted similar events this past fall in Spencer, Newark Valley, and Horseheads, NY as well as Wysox, PA.
